Grand Bleu 2013
Tasting Notes
Concentrated aromas of nutmeg, allspice, black cherry, and tobacco. Flavors of plum, black cherry, and chocolate, which are tied together by balanced acidity and silky tannins.
Vineyard Notes
Nagy Eged is a Grand Cru terroir and the region's highest vineyard at 1500 feet. The soil here is primarily limestone and is steeply sloped, which varies drastically from all other vineyards in the area. Here a southern exposure and sparse soils create concentrated, mineral-rich wines worthy of lengthy cellar aging.Pairings
Serves well with bigger, more complex dishes, mainly meat (beef, pork, lamb) - or chicken with a hearty sauce.Wine Profile
